The Annual Conference 2011 of the Woman Doctors Association was held on 5th November at Breeze Hotel. Over 120 Delegates attended the Program.
Dr.T.P.Sarawathy one of the earliest members of WDA,a senior Obst. by Profession & a teacher to many gave the Presidential Address & the well known Activist & Advocate,Madras High Court Ms.Geetha Ramaseshan delivered the Inaugural Address . The Website of WDA was also launched on this day.
There were excellent disposition by the Guest Speakers on very useful & relevant topics

The receipient of the prestigious Dr.Jones Oration was Dr.Shantha Kamath, Additional Director SCARF & that of the coveted Susrutha went to Dr.Kausalya Devi, Life Trustee, Gadhigram Trust.
Certificates to the paper presenters was distributed to the students by Dr.Sharadha Menon
Dr. Revathy Pradhaban bagged the prize for her paper titled Recombinant DNA tecnology in today’s medicine Generation of biologically active human Erythropoietin (EPO)
Panel discussion on Nutrition in Health & Disease brightened the grey area & was a lively & interactive session.
The conference ended with the General Body meeting with nominations of new office bearers & EC members.
