The first WDA Doctors day CME by WDA Members was conducted on 6th july 2024 at Mehta hospitals, Basement Auditorium between 4 to 5.15 pm.
The aim of the program was to bring out the various interesting case presentations which are being seen by wda members with an objective to know more about the field of expertise of member doctors.
The gathering was welcomed by president Dr Ranjanakumari. Dr . Premalatha was introduced by Dr. Hepzibah who spoke about an interesting case of OHVIRA syndrome in siblings and their mother.Other members shared their experiences on similar cases. The next speaker Dr. Sharanya was introduced by Dr .Namitha Bhuvaneswari. Dr Sharanya presented a rare case of recurrent epistaxis with hereditary haemorrhagic telengectasia with pulmonary AV malformations.She eloborated on the various treatment options and how it was managed.
The third speaker was Dr Anandi who presented an interesting case of itchy appendix showcasing pinworm infestation in appendix. Dr Anandi lightened the session with her wit and humour.
The speakers were felicitated by senior members. Dr Maheswari [ Treasurer] conducted the proceedings and vote of thanks was given by the secretary Dr Sudha.
The session ended on a happy note with gifts for lucky dip winners and high tea.
