The Annual conference 2024 was held on 20th of October at Kings hotel, Egmore.
About 75 registrations which included wda members, delegates,students, postgraduates and paramedicals was recorded.
SESSION 1 – Triaging of trauma, ENT, OMFS. OPHTHALMOLOGY AND NEUROSURGICAL aspects of trauma was presented by speakers with insights from chairpersons followed by question and answers.

Momento to Dr Revathy Raj was given by president, Secretary , treasurer, Dr sumithra Shanmugham and Dr Shaanthy Gunasingh which was followed by her acceptance speech
Introduction of Mr Kasirajan was done by the secretary Dr Sudha .
Mr Kasirajan awardee Dr Jayashree Gopal was introduced by Dr Shaanthy Gunasingh.
Momento and medal To Dr Jayashree Gopal was given by office bearers and senior members of WDA.

SESSION 3 – Post lunch session had presentations on abdominal trauma, Medicolegal aspects of trauma which was followed by a round table on trauma – Practical aspects conducted by Dr Anandi .A
There were 11 POSTERS in the category of undergraduates, postgraduates and paramedicals.

Cash prizes were awarded to the winners of the poster .Tamilnadu medical council gave 1 CME credit points for the conference.
Dr G.Vijaya donated Rs. 50000 towards WDA from Sri. Santhanakrishana padmavathiH.C and research foundation.
This was followed by annual general body meeting.
Dr Vanajakshi, Dr Malathy and Dr, Sivagami expressed their inability to continue in their posts.
So, it was unanimously decided that Dr Shyamala M.L be elected as advisory member, Dr H,Sripriya be elected as Joint Secretary and Dr Kopperundevi as executive member. Dr A ngeline Selvaraj was elected as Ec member as well .One more post of EC member is vacant which would be filled later.
WDA renewal of registration is due and it was decided to go ahead with that.
Dr Maheswari presented the treasurer report for the year 2023-2024. It was suggested that from the next conferences, registration fees to be obtained from the faculty as well to reduce loss.
The annual conference also had few stalls by women entrepreneurs which were supported by the delegates.
All in all, the conference had a positive vibe and was well appreciated.
