The Woman Doctors Association of Tamilnadu conducted an Eye donation drive on 16.02.2025 for the inmates of Little Drops Old Age Home at Paraniputhur in association with the Lions Club of Padi Shenoy Nagar, initiated by Ln Augustine.
Dr. Namitha (Professor of ophthalmology, Meenakshi Medical College) spoke about the myths and facts of eye donation. Dr. Kiruthika and Dr. Moulika (ophthalmologists ) went to the dormitories and created awareness about eye donation.
Eye pledge form was signed by few inmates . This eye donation drive was done to encourage eye donation which will be beneficial to patients waiting to get vision. Dr A. Sudha ( Secretary) and Dr. Maheswari ( Treasurer) of WDA interacted and reinforced the same. About 60 people were benefitted.
